“Back in 2008 I was working construction and injured myself on site. After figuring out that I injured two disks in my spine I was approved for WCB. After my first surgery in November of 2008, I was told to go back to work. I was still having really bad back pains and was told that it was because the surgery on my second slipped disk was not properly done. The doctor suggested a second surgery. After my second surgery in February of 2009, the doctor told WCB that I was ready for work and was sent to a “back to work program” to prepare for a job. My back pains were not getting better so I asked for a second doctors opinion. After thorough check ups and x-rays, the doctor confirmed that both surgeries failed. Once it was confirmed that both surgeries failed, Huso took over my case. Huso tried to help find a job that would fit my life style. Unfortunately, with the back pains, it was next to impossible to find a job that I could work at. With the help of Huso, WCB provided me with material around the house (such as rails) that help me day-to-day. “I have been injured and struggling with WCB for over 5 years before I met Huso Hadzic.
All that time WCB was trying to put me back to work but with no success. Then they decided it is the end of their support and they sent me to evaluation to figure out my disability. That disability is of course very low but I didn’t know what to do and how to fight them. Beside I had mental problems like depression, suicidal thoughts and very aggressive behavior like never before. They were trying to make me believe that there is nothing wrong with my mental health and every time I mention that on rehab they say “Oh no, no, no, there is nothing wrong with you, you don’t have depression”. Then, once on rehab they decided to send me to Psychologist and I talk to him few times. He told me that this is just the consequence of my injury and few bad things that happened in my life at the same time.
After that nothing happened and WCB ignored my call for help specially after I was told that my injury is not for surgery but there is not medication for that and I will live the rest of my life like that and won’t be able to do my job never again.
I have visited two Neurologist after that and they told me the same.
I was helpless and one day in September 2013 I met the person who was with me on rehab program few years ago and he told me for Huso Hadzic and that he helped him a lot. I called Huso right away because I was desperate for help. He asked me for details of my case and then told me that this is going to be long process but I have to believe in him end we will success.
When he took over my case I could see results immediately. He appealed my disability award and I got more percent for disability. In a meantime I started visiting Psychologist paying out of my pocket but could not afford it. Then he asked for Psychology assessment and he somehow got it. That’s where story begin.
WCB has sent me to a Psychologist of their choice. Not a problem until I went there and release that he is doing a favor to WCB. Actually he was working for them before. I took Huso’s advice and asked for translator to make my assessment easier. I was surprised when I saw results. He accused me of malingering!!! And crucial question he asked me twice end I answered it twice but he wrote it opposite!!! After that Huso complained and of course they denied me disorder.
But Huso know steps to be taken and to proof they are wrong. He appealed their decision to WCAT and sent me to collect more evidence.
Case become so complicated that WCAT sent me to independent Psychologist on UBC and extended time for decision twice. But after year and the half they made decision that WCB was wrong in my case and order them to pay me all wage loss, open mental disorder case and send me to Psychologist for treatment.
Thanks to Huso I was not left on the street with no right compensation, suicidal thoughts and aggressive behaviour.

“I fell from 8 feet May 16 2009 and I got injury in my jaw and all over my buddy. After few months my case was over and they send me back to work. I was not happy with outcome. They did not accept my upper teeth but I still have a problem. They accept 11 teeth in the mouth. That was fixed somehow and it was all good until recently. “Hi, My name is Milan and I came to work in Canada from Montenegro as a Long haul Truck Driver. I got injured on June 30 2014. I was in coma for few days. I have multiply injuries. Both hands, Knee, Broken Collar bone, Broken Jaw, Brain injury. After 15 days , I contacted someone who gave me Mr. Huso Hadzic Number. At That time WCB decide to pay me 350 dollars a week. Company owner try to lie and make me a bad guy but Fortunately Human rights commission recognize that he is wrong. Huso Hadzic is now on 3 different front. WCB, Hospital, and Human rights. I have lot of psychological problems and ny life become difficult. Last mount Huso was asking WCB to pay for my ticket to go Home and see my family. This was recommended from my psychologist and psychiatrist. Mr. Hadzic find a way to make WCB pay 2000 dollars for my trip. If I did not have that 2000 dollars I will never be able to make that trip. While being home Huso make WCB to pay for my treatment in Very popular Medical Center IGALO 2 minutes from my Home. I have treatment 3 days a week while I am visiting my family. This help me to keep myself better. I have schedule surgery for my left hand on Sep 31 and possible knee surgery after my hand recover. My case is far from Over. I have special thanks To Huso Hadzic that I call MY BROTHER. He was by my side all this time, he always answer his phone and he is always available for me. He never let me down and I can’t forget that, until I have my last breath.”

“I would recommend Mr. Hadzic to everyone needing help with Wcb cases and any other claim cases for that matter, and to anyone who wants to have a good night sleep. Till I recruited Mr. Hadzic to deal with my husbands case, I was doing everything my self. English is a second language to my husband, so it was very difficult for him to express hisself and he was often wrongfully misinterpreted. Over the past two years I have had the pleasure of viewing Mr. Huso’s professional development of my work related WCB injury case.
I was seriously injured at my work place on July 16, 2009 while answering emergency call, twisting and fracturing my right foot ankle. The doctor ordered me not to put pressure on my foot, this meant I was unable perform my job duties and work for a while, causing me to lose substantial income. Since I was injured in workplace I was entitled to Workers Compensation Benefits. However Due to negligence of medical professionals working at hospital I was misdiagnosed and sent by WCB in charge to perform different exercises at physio therapy treatments for two weeks, and all with my fractured leg instead of casting leg up and letting it to heal, which caused even more damage and pain to my foot and ankle.
After all wrong decisions made by WCB and wrong programs and physio therapy treatments I went through, which they didn’t help me at all but instead they made my leg worse causing me great pain and discomfort followed by developing arthritis on place of injury, I was pressured by WCB advisors and my Claim managers to return to work. My Employer at the time made falls promises in presence of WCB ,,return to work’’ adviser that they will accommodate me to get better if I return to work, since I repeatedly told them that my foot was not sufficiently healed and recovered , and that I was unable perform my job duties like I used before.
There was no one to give me advice and to look after my wellbeing at the time, so I had no choice but to return to work and close my WCB claim file. After 3 long years trying to work and at the same time suffering from even more damage and pain to my foot and ankle, cause my Employer didn’t keep promises to accommodate me with seating position till my leg gets better, but instead they put pressure on me keeping me longer hours standing on my injured foot, and not giving me breaks on time I got to the breaking point where I couldn’t stand pain no more. I was losing tremendous numbers of my working hours, I was constantly send home by my shift managers cause of swelling and condition of my injured leg, and all of that caused me to lose income and be not able to financially provide for myself and my family.
After my family Doctor advise me that I should reopen my WCB case cause all of this was happening since my work injurie, I called Workers Compensation Board to reopen my file and to ask for help but they gladly denied me, one very rude lady my case manager at the time told me that if I even hire best lawyer to present me I will still not be able to reopen my case, cause there is not enough medical evidence she said, and that she don’t know what I should do and where to ask for help. I couldn’t believe what I was hiring, I knew that all she said wasn’t truth but I was still discouraged and I felt that I was put down by WCB personnel over and over again, I was basically left on my own with no income or any other help from anywhere. I was forced to move out to smaller place and borrow money to survive. It was very dark period of my life and it look like there is no hope for me. Eventually I started suffering from serious Depression on top of all what was happening to me.
Then by accident somewhere in September 2014 I run in to Mr Huso in local grocery store, after telling him about my problems he said he will do his best to help me out and not to be worried no more, he said that I have a right to workers’ compensation benefits and that Work Safe BC should provide me with assistance that is needed, to help me to get better and to return to work. There is still hope for you, he said.
He began working on my case and shortly after my WCB claim was reopen, followed by large lump sum payment for my lost income and so on, that help me to recover from debts that I owe to people and to move on with my life.
Mr Huso managed to fix all of wrong decisions and errors WCB made on my case at the time and for me it looked like miracle, I couldn’t believe what was happening. Later in the case he managed to get me rightfully accepted for permanent disability awards, proper medical attention, proper schooling awarded from WCB that is needed to get me retrained for suitable work, with my condition caused by my work injury.
